• Content you create: the story ideas/prompts you provide and the child's first name you choose to show as the author.
• Voice recordings (optional): if you choose to personalise narration, the audio you record so we can create a synthetic voice for your storybooks. Voice data can be sensitive/biometric information.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
• Usage data: basic technical and usage logs to operate and secure the Service.

Children's data

MyOwnTales is intended for use by parents and guardians who create storybooks for their children. A parent or guardian must provide verifiable consent before any child's name or voice is processed. We do not knowingly let children create accounts, and we do not perform behavioural profiling of children or serve targeted advertising directed at children. You may withdraw consent and request deletion of a child's data (including any voice sample) at any time.

How we use your information

• To generate, narrate, store and display your storybooks.
• To create a personalised narration voice, only where you have provided a recording and consent.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to process payments.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication, database and file storage.
• ElevenLabs — voice synthesis and narration.
• Lovable AI — text and image generation.
• Razorpay — payment processing.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled securely.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can delete a story or a child's voice sample at any time, or email us to delete your account and associated data.

Your rights
